Direct Primary Care

Direct Primary Care

How it works

01

The Difference

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a way for our patients to invest in their healthcare. DPC removes the middle man, therefore stream lining the patient-provider relationship. The DPC provides a healthier, more transparent approach to medicine. The patient pays the DPC directly each month for potential services to be provided or services already rendered. There is no additional cost for extra visits each month or copays when you need help. It provides a healthier, more transparent approach to medicine for the patient and the provider.

02

The Value

The DPC model allows time, technology, transparency and more flexibility than a traditional practice. The patient-provider team dictate the plan, time, and the type of visit. This change then allows for the medical services and patient experience to match our Hippocratic oath.

03

A Partnership

As a DPC member, you have access to your provider through text, telemedicine, email, phone calls and office visits. This includes afterhours care on an as-needed basis. Your monthly fee covers physical labs twice a year without additional cost and any additional labs are greatly discounted. With this model, providers will be available in a timelier manner. We are also excited to offer a provider on call to help with acute and urgent needs at Genesis Healthcare Center.

04

A Pathway

Genesis Healthcare Center has patient care coordinators designated to routinely check on our patients. Our goal is to improve the communication in the patient-provider relationship.

Common Questions

See some common questions and answers below, or call us at (423) 753-4000.

  • What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

DPC is a way for patients to invest in quality healthcare. With your monthly membership, the providers are on retainer for you. The retainer supports the delivery of high quality, coordinated care instead of the traditional fee for service model of healthcare.

  • What are the benefits of joining a DPC?

Patients will have access to routine office visits as needed, an annual physical, other benefits within the practice such as discounted nutritional supplements, laboratory rates, medications and aesthetic services, and better access to their provider than ever before! Each of our providers will have a dedicated phone number for patients to call, text, send pictures or have a video chat appointment. In addition, we are implementing patient care coordinators to routinely reach out to our patients, to assist you in any way with your medical needs. With DPC, we will strive to prevent a costly hospital or urgent care facility visit for our patients.

  • Why is Genesis Healthcare Center changing to DPC?

We are taking note of our environment. Changes have been taking place with both federal and state insurance, as well as commercial insurance companies. Many plans try to dictate what providers can and cannot do for their patients. We have accommodated our schedules and adhered to the strict guidelines of insurance companies to get medical claims paid. We have witnessed the medical community sitting dormant and refusing to treat sick people during the pandemic. We stepped up to the plate, made adjustments to our facility in order to treat both sick and well patients, and we served the community to the best of our ability! The transition to DPC provides additional time and better communication between our providers and our patients. We served the community to the best of our ability!

  • What changes will our patients see if they join our DPC?

With better access to our providers, patients will be able to directly call, text or email, allowing for better communication and fewer in-office appointments, if desired. This means our patients can have less time away from work or home. In addition, our providers can have more uninterrupted time with patients while reducing your time in the waiting room.

  • Can anyone join the DPC?

Each of our providers will have a predetermined number of members. Our current patients will be offered membership opportunities first. This allows for proper time management and relationship building between our providers and our patients. We value names and faces over numbers and statistics. We will continue to be dependable with our patient care practices.

  • What other changes are happening at Genesis?

As of January 1, 2023, we will no longer be filing insurance claims. We made this difficult decision to better serve our patients. We are eliminating the bureaucracy and interference from insurance companies to simplify the process of our medical practice. We encourage you to contact us as soon as possible to reserve your place on our list! We believe in individual freedoms, and we sincerely hope that you will join us as we revolutionize the way we practice medicine!

  • How much does the membership cost?

    Adult Single: $90/mo

    Adult Family: $85/mo

    Child (w/family): $15/mo

     - Acute care visits only (wellness/managed care should be taken care of at a pediatrician)

Primary residence must be under the same address as the Head of Household/Primary account holder

    Military or law enforcement: $80/mo

*$5 discount per person, per month for multiple DPC members who live in the same household

    *** Corporate/business rates available

  • How do I reach my provider?

Each provider will have their own points of contact for their patients. Those numbers will be available upon establishment of DPC membership.

A word from our team

At Genesis Healthcare Center, our goal has always been to serve others, serve God, use our gifts wisely, provide for our families and serve our community. We approach medicine through the patient’s point of view, as we have all been patients ourselves. We are honored to go through life with our patients, many times sharing a laugh or a tear together through life’s challenging times. We have been with our patients through the stress of personal challenges such as starting a family, moving, job changes, facing an unexpected medical diagnosis or getting through the pandemic. Providing exceptional care to you and your family has been, and will continue to be, our highest priority.

We have listened to our patients, and we are implementing some changes at our office, with you in mind. We are morally obligated to take better care of our patients than what is currently dictated by insurance companies. We are becoming a Direct Primary Care practice in order to deliver the optimal care that our patients deserve.

Sincerely,

Genesis Healthcare Center
